Food is a very important thing to us giants, almost as important as the forest. We like our food simple but tasty. We enjoy our meals full-heartedly, which is why we like to create the right atmosphere as well. At the dining table you may also notice that our character shows in the size of the food, too. You don’t often see cardamom buns as big as ours.

À la carte menu 18.11. – 18.12.2025 is available from Tuesday to Saturday 15 – 20 (kitchen closes at 19.00). Please note: à la carte will not be available on 6.12. and 12.–13.12.

Giant’s Special 3-course winter dinner 20.12.2025 – 4.4.2026 is available every day of the week. Please remember, dinner table reservations at least 1 day in advance.

For us, good food and a warm atmosphere go hand in hand. Our restaurant with a view is located on the second floor of the main building Taikalinna, in the dining room you can admire the mystically beautiful elements of nature, the glow of candles and the wonderful scenery that opens from the windows. We serve mouth-watering taste experiences for a dinner for two as well as for a larger group, not forgetting party drinks.

Local food

We love nature and all its flavors. We collect the mushrooms, berries and herbs. we use as raw materials from nature. When using other raw materials, such as fish, meat and root vegetables, we always prefer domestic raw materials and origin. We prepare the food portions in such a way that the end result is like a giant’s plate: coarse and clear, so that the raw materials can be clearly distinguished. Nature is important to us and we want to act in an environmentally friendly manner and respecting the principles of sustainable development.

The service was warm and the breakfast basket delivered to the cabin was a great start to the day. The hostess’s reindeer pie was the best I’ve ever tasted and the carrot jam was almost mind-blowing!
