The 6-lane frisbee golf track of Arctic Giant is located right at the top of Kivesvaara. The forest course, which varies in terrain, offers fun as well as a challenge – without forgetting the wonderful dangerous view! Grab the pucks under your arm and head for a refreshing game in the forest.

The biggest and strongest of the giants, Wäki-Turilas, is obsessed with building stone castles. However, sometimes in the hustle and bustle of the work, it may happen that the stone blocks fly somewhere else than they were supposed to go – the Giant sometimes slips! In the area of Arctic Giant, you can find the Kainuu stone park, where you can learn about the fascinating history and mystical stories of the stones and boulders of the surrounding areas..

Hike through the solid boulders of Pahalouhos, take a day trip to the Yölinnunkuru nature reserve and climb the high Valkeisenkallio. In the surroundings of Kivesvaara, there are several hiking trails of different lengths, ranging from 2 to 16 km in length. Disabled people are also taken into account on the approximately 2 km long route.

Experience gigantic fishing luck! There are many good fishing spots near of Kivesjärvi. Grab a hook on your shoulder and head to the sources of peace of mind. Giant monsters are waiting for you!

In the observation tower of Arctic Giant, you can see the 360-degree view of the dangerous landscape in front of you! Fire up and set the mood in Kivesvaara’s hut! At the end of a forest trip, or just for that matter, it’s wonderful to sit down next to the blazing flames and enjoy campfire fins accompanied by the crackle of the fire. The Kivesvaara hut and the firewood found in the wood liter are freely available to everyone all year round. You can find the house next to the viewing platform and Kainuu stone park.

We organize guided mushroom trips on the Kivesvaara hiking trail, where you can get to know the interesting world of forest mushrooms and learn the basic skills of mushroom picking. And what would an trip without a small bite in the stump beak – The Giant mushroom treats, of course.
