Arctic Giant is a Finnish family-owned company based in the beautiful Kainuu region. Our unique hilltop resort on Kivesvaara offers breathtaking 360° views of the Arctic landscape.
We love welcoming our guests as friends and making sure you feel at home from the very first moment. With cozy and beautiful accommodation, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, locally inspired food, and unforgettable experiences in nature, we aim to make every stay truly special.
Reception
You’ll find our guest reception on the first floor of the main building. Check-in is from 15:00 to 20:00, and we can’t wait to welcome you! If you’re arriving later, just let us know, and we’ll make sure you have all the information you need for a smooth check-in. Check-out is by 11:00.
Parking is included in our parking lot, so you can relax and start enjoying your stay right away.

Driving Guidance
You can find us in Kivesvaara, 20 km from the village of Paltamo (at the bridges) towards Oulu (along highway 22). Turn right (Kivesvaara 4) at the intersection sign: “Elämyskeskus Jättiläisenmaa”. Drive straight up the main road without turning for 4 km. After this, the main building and parking lot should be visible on the left.
Coming from the direction of Kajaani: Highway E5 and highway 22 towards Oulu 56 km. Let’s turn right (Kivesvaara 4). At the intersection, there was a sign “Elämyskeskus Jättilaisenmaa”. Drive straight up the main road without turning for 4 km. After this, the main building and parking lot should be visible on the left.
Coming from the direction of Oulu: Highway 22 towards Kajaani 130 km. Immediately after the Kivesjärvi bridges, turn left. (Kivesvaara 4) At the intersection there is a sign “Elämyskeskus Jättilaisenmaa”. Drive straight up the main road without turning for 4 km. After this, the main building and parking lot should be visible on the left.
